Can a Sunscreen protect you from the sun?

Recently, we have received a lot of emails asking the question as to whether a soap can give you protection from the sun's damaging rays? We checked with several manufactures, and the only one that responded to our request (http://www.AmazingSoap.com/), told us that a specialty soap such as their Sunscreen Soap can give you some protection for normal outside activities. However, the soap is mainly designed to give you some SPF protection for everyday use (a walk, checking your mail, etc). However, it is not designed to give you protection from outdoor activities such as going to the beach, or going on a hike, to give you a few examples. The idea of a sunblock soap seems totally viable to us. What do you think?
